- SNA: Defenders of the network.
- Obsidian Process: Infiltrators corrupting the Mesh.
- Independent: Rogue entity seeking survival.
01. Role Registry
SECURE NETWORK ALLIANCE (SNA)
ANALYST
Function: Scans one node nightly. Learns "Obsidian" or "Not Obsidian".
Special: Infiltrator Leader masks as "Not Obsidian".
SHIELD
Protects a node from one compromise attempt.
STABILIZER
Reinforces node; immune to compromise tonight.
ENFORCER
Deactivates target node's ability for the cycle.
OBSIDIAN PROCESS (OP)
INFILTRATOR LEADER
Function: Selects final compromise target. Masked alignment.
INFILTRATOR
Function: Participates in the compromise selection process.
SCANNER
Variant A: Lone scan. Variant B: Linked scan.
Function: Learns the exact role of the target node.
02. Night Sequence
- 1. Enforcer: Deactivates target's ability.
- 2. Stabilizer: Node becomes immune to compromise.
- 3. Shield: Sacrificial layer applied.
- 4. Analysts/Scanners: Data gathering scans.
- 5. Obsidian Process: Final compromise selection.
03. Day Phase & Purge
DAWN REPORT
Moderator reveals which nodes were compromised and removed from the Mesh.
DISCUSSION
Players have 3 minutes to exchange data and scan results.
THE PURGE
Simultaneous vote to remove a suspected infiltrator. Majority vote is purged. Ties result in no removal.
04. Win Conditions
SNA Victory
All Obsidian roles (Leader, Infiltrators, and Scanner) are removed.
OP Victory
Obsidian Process count matches SNA node count (Parity).
Rogue Victory
Survives until the game concludes.

06. Network Glossary
MESH: The game world; the collective group of all players.
NODE: An individual player.
COMPROMISED: When a node is targeted by the Obsidian Process and removed from the game.
PURGED: When a node is removed by a majority vote during the Day Phase.
DEACTIVATED: A node whose night ability has been nullified by an Enforcer.
PARITY: A state where the number of Obsidian Process nodes equals the number of SNA nodes.
